Uplifting Epitaphs

Epitaphs that help with the grieving process by uplifting the spirit of the reader. Bringing joy or hope from the life lived and remembered, rather than focusing on pain of the loss. Many of these epitaphs come from scripture, as the Bible contains many uplifting texts about death.

Psalm 91

Psalm 91 - Epitaphs From The Bible

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

I'm Free

I'm Free - Headstone Poems

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
